By now, all of us know the famous movie “The Bucket List” With Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. It’s nothing more or less than a list of things we want to do before we ‘kick the bucket’ and shuffle off this mortal coil. With that in mind, I thought I’d share my bucket list with y’all. Ready?
Travel more: Over the years I’ve done a substantial amount of traveling both domestically and internationally. I’d like to go back again to Ireland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, and Italy. New places I want to see are Thailand, India, South Africa, Brazil, and Japan. I also want to see Moscow! The places I’ve listed are just the highlights. I’d really like to visit every country on the planet, but I’ve got a limited number of years left to do it in.
Scuba diving: One of my strongest regrets from the time I lived in Jordan is that I never went scuba diving in the Red Sea. That’s quite high up on my bucket list.
Fly in a hot air balloon. There are two places I particularly want to fly over: The Grand Canyon and Wadi Rum in Jordan.
Win the Lottery. So, who doesn’t want to win the lottery? The likelihood of winning a Mega lottery is infinitesimal, I know. But I still buy those tickets. Why? Because someone has to win, and it just may as well be me! We’ve already decided exactly how we’ll deal with the pots full of money. Hopefully, we’ll stick to the plan.
Even More Travel. I want to go to the airport and buy a ticket on the next international flight. Doesn’t matter where it’s going, just hop aboard and enjoy the trip!
Go on a World Cruise. This item actually falls under winning the lottery because that’s one of the first things we plan to do.
Visit Australia. I want to see the length and breadth of this huge country! Sydney, Ayers Rock, Perth, are all on the list. I’d like to also meet some wonderful friends I’ve made through the magic of the internet.
Enjoy English High Tea in England.
Get a Tattoo.
Master Sign Language.
I’ve only scratched the surface here; I could go on and on, but I have it on good authority that I just may not live forever. So… I’m lucky enough to have scratched quite a number of items off my bucket list. Perhaps one day soon I’ll post an article about that.
What’s on your bucket list?
I sure do appreciate you coming by today. Being that you’re out and about on the web anyway, why not pop over to Amazon and get a copy of New Yesterdays for your reading pleasure? Pick up an extra copy or three for the young folk in your life. They’ll thank you for it and Ol’ Big Jim will too! Just click either of those highlighted links and, presto! you’ll be off on a delightful journey!
