Password? What Password?

Well, who’d a thunk it? Those of you who follow this blog know that I frequently ask you to share your thoughts. Some of you do, and for that I’m very grateful. Yesterday though, I made an interesting discovery.

My niece told me she wanted to make a comment, but had forgotten her password and without the password she couldn’t “like” or comment on any post. You could’ve knocked me over with a feather because I distinctly remembered setting up the blog without a password.

Checking my settings I saw that the password box was, in fact unticked! Now why would it require a password when the box wasn’t ticked? I scratched my old head and wondered what I should do next and suddenly remembered something my old friend Rick Hood told me ages and ages ago. “Computers are the stupidest thing on earth” he said.

I gasped! “Stupider than a turkey??” I couldn’t believe it.

So, I decided to try to trick the computer into thinking I’d made some changes. So, I ticked the password requirement box and saved the changes. After a few minutes, when I had him busy downloading a file, I slipped back in and removed the tick and saved it again. Real quick-like, you know?

Next thing I knew, I got an email from Sadie Baby telling me she was able to comment without a password.

I said all that to say this: If you’ve tried to leave comments on my posts in the past, but were frustrated by the need for a password, then fear no more! I’ve done away with that (again) and you shouldn’t have any problems at all. And, please Gentle Reader, if you notice anything wonky about this blog, or any other that I run please shoot me an email and let me know. I love hearing from you!
