Zeek’s Mom at Noccalula

Those of you who follow this blog know about Noccalula Falls. We took Zeek’s Mom up there yesterday. This is what we expected her to see.

Because we haven’t had any rain to speak of since Spring, this is the “stunning” sight we were able to show off. I dubbed it “Noccalula Trickle”. If you look really closely, you will see the droplets of water dribbling down the face of the falls.

So, we had bowls of ice cream and wandered through the park, admiring the ducks and geese as we soaked up the very welcome moderate temperatures.

Despite my disappointment, Zeek’s Mom pronounced it a good trip. She was tremendously pleased, seeing the beauty provided us by Mother Nature. And of course, because she took pleasure in it, we relished sharing it with her. Enjoy the rest of the pictures!

We’re hoping to go up to Mount Cheaha next weekend to show her Bald Rock and Alabama’s highest peak. Any suggestions for other venues from you, Gentle Readers?

Not sure how far to the beach on the Gulf, but would be beautiful this time of year.
